GermanWineEstates is owned by GermanWineEstates.com Inc., and is designed and operated by Eric H. Litchfield, a wine professional and German wine expert who has 19 years of experience importing and promoting German wines. Eric Litchfield is the Import Sales Director and German and Austrian Wine Director of a Connecticut wine importer and distributor. He is also on the Advisory Board of Wines of Germany, formerly known as the German Wine Information Bureau, the exclusive U.S. office of the Deutsches Weininstitut.

The author spends much time at wine tastings in the United States, and travels to Germany and Austria, meeting new contacts and tasting wines, to further develop his company's wine selection. He also gives lectures and leads wine tastings on this subject. The wine portfolio that Mr. Litchfield has selected represents an excellent array of high quality wines from some of Germany's and Austria's most prestigious and dynamic producers.
