Litchfield, a wine professional and German wine expert who has 18 years of experience importing and promoting German wines. Eric Litchfield is the German and Austrian Wine Director of a New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island wine importer and distributor. He is also on the Advisory Board of Wines of Germany, formerly known as the German Wine Information Bureau, the exclusive U.S. office of the Deutsches Weininstitut.

The author spends much time at wine tastings in the United States, and travels to Germany and Austria, meeting new contacts and tasting wines, to further develop his company's wine selection. He also gives lectures and leads wine tastings on this subject.
